Lightened Up One-Pan Cabbage and Ground Turkey Skillet

This Lightened Up One-Pan Cabbage and Ground Turkey Skillet is a simple and healthy dinner recipe that only requires one pan and about 30 minutes to make!

Never trust a dentist that’s open on Sunday.

I’m pretty sure I learned this the hard way this week. It’s been an embarrassingly long time since I last went to the dentist, so I decided this past weekend was the right time to finally check it off my to-do list.

So, being the technology savvy millennial that I am, I jumped on an app called ZocDoc that pairs you with doctors in the area that accept your insurance.

Their version of professional dentist photography involved shoving a compact mirror and a digital camera in my mouth to photograph my teeth (and that’s just one example). Plus, I walked away with thousands of dollars of suggested dental work (hello, second opinion). And here I was just hoping for them not to make fun of me for not flossing regularly.

So if you learn anything today, it’s that you should never trust a dentist that’s open on a Sunday. As my mom said, they should be at church.

Okay, let’s talk about one pan recipes. Does it get much better? Throw a bunch of stuff in a pan and just like that you have a healthy meal ready in just 30 minutes!

Given the smashing success of my Amish One-Pan Ground Beef and Cabbage Skillet, I wanted to try to make it a little lighter. So, I give you, Lightened Up One-Pan Cabbage and Ground Turkey Skillet! It uses ground turkey instead of beef, and I even snuck in some broccoli slaw for an extra veggie boost.

This may not be the sexiest of recipes, but it’s a one-pan recipe that’s perfect for busy weeknights. Plus, it tastes much better than you would expect! If you close your eyes, you can even trick yourself into thinking it tastes like spaghetti with meat sauce.

Give this Lightened Up One-Pan Cabbage and Ground Turkey Skillet recipe a try next time you’re feeling lazy. You won’t regret it.
