Paleo Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

Paleo Chocolate Chip Banana Bread is a grain-free, gluten-free and super easy to make Paleo banana bread recipe!

Is there anything better than a fresh loaf of banana bread?! I often talk about how truly terrible I am at baking.

For me to successfully bake anything, it has to be a super simple recipe that’s basically fool-proof.

This Paleo chocolate chip banana bread definitely fits the bill. All of the ingredients can be mixed in one bowl and it has a super short ingredients list! The batter comes together in just a couple minutes and it’s ready to bake.

Banana bread is one of my all-time favorite desserts, so I was so excited when this Paleo version turned out so well. It rivals top paleo desserts like my Lemon Blueberry Paleo Bread and 4-Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies.

It even passed the test of my boyfriend, who went back for seconds … and thirds!

I use Bob’s Red Mill Paleo Baking Flour and Enjoy Life dairy-free chocolate chips to make this lightened up version of a family favorite.

Paleo chocolate chip banana bread always has a super moist consistency because it doesn’t use any flour. I actually love that about this bread!

Be sure to use a toothpick or knife to check for doneness while baking. Depending on your oven, it may take more than an hour to bake. Mine took about an hour and 15 minutes.

If you love banana bread as much as me, I hope you’ll give this Paleo Banana Bread a try!

Ingredients

  • 3 very ripe bananas, mashed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup honey or pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Bob’s Red Mill Paleo Baking Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (I use Enjoy Life)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix mashed banana, eggs, coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla until combined.
  3. Add baking flour, baking powder, cinnamon and salt. Stir until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the batter into the loaf pan. Bake for 30 minutes uncovered. Lightly cover with aluminum foil and continue baking 30-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
  5. Remove from oven and let it cool in the pan. Slice and enjoy! Store leftovers in the fridge.
