August was a doozy, you guys. Between checking off the restaurant bucket list, multiple street festivals, and more than a few glasses of wine for my birthday week … This body is screaming for vegetables.
The Dawson – the cheesy deliciousness above is mac and cheese with bacon, pork, and Parmesan on top. Perhaps the best mac and cheese I’ve had topped off with one of the best bloody Mary’s I’ve had.
If you don’t go to The Dawson for the food, go for the amazing outdoor patio before it’s too late!
Oyster Fest – what could be better than fresh seafood in the middle of downtown with live music and a crowd of beautiful Chicagoans? Answer: nothin’.
Oh and crab garlic waffle frieds. Nuff said.
Seasons 52 – Fall is here! And the new fall menu at Seasons 52 is ahh-mazing. I loved their scallops over butternut risotto.
Love Your Local Event with The Laughing Cow Cheese – a night full of cheese and food lovers at River Roast in Chicago makes for a happy Jordan. The Laughing Cow cheese is one of my favorite snacks, so I knew I was going to love joining this party!
Sushi O Sushi – If you live in Chicago and have not been to Sushi O Sushi’s Sake Party, please go. Like, yesterday. Bring a big party and carve out two hours because their sake party is family style sushi, unlimited beer and sake, and a lot of loud chanting for two hours. Most fun I’ve had all summer.
The Corned Beef Factory – This huge Italian beef sandwich is dangerously close to my work, and they’re now on GrubHub. Lawd help me.
