You guys … I am SO excited about today’s post because it’s all about BRUNCH. And bacon. What could be better?
I made these bacon breakfast pizza recipes a few weeks ago, and my roommate proclaimed them the best recipe I’ve made to date. Score!
That probably has something to do with the fact that they include thick slices of Wright® Brand Hickory Smoked Bacon.
My dad was the first one who taught me the beauty of Wright® Brand Bacon. It was always his bacon of choice when he was shopping at Jewel-Osco because of its super thick slices and it seriously tastes better than any bacon I’ve tried. Purchase today and look for an on-pack redeemable coupon for $1.50 off at participating Jewel-Osco stores.
Since then, my loyalty has been strong when I want thick bacon for recipes or weekend brunches. When I found out they wanted to partner on some amazing brunch recipes, I couldn’t say YES fast enough!
These bacon breakfast pizza recipes are the perfect recipes to make for Easter brunch or any time you need to entertain.
You can choose to make one flavor or the other … but I recommend making both to give guests some variety. Plus, they’re both so good, who could choose?!
My favorite way to prepare bacon is by baking it on a baking sheet. I think it turns out extra crispy this way, and you don’t have to worry about stovetop splatters.
Just line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, lay out your bacon, and let her bake until crispy!
While that’s in the oven, prepare your crust. My favorite trick to these bacon breakfast pizzas is buying a pre-made pizza crust (I use whole wheat) and spread it with a combination of olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper.
This simple trick seriously takes the flavor up about 5 notches in my opinion.
Once your crust is coated, start topping!
Once you have all of your toppings on the crust, scoot them aside to create three small holes for the eggs.
Carefully crack those eggs into the holes and bake! If you bake them just right, you’ll have perfectly runny eggs when you slice into the pizza to serve. Who doesn’t love a little yolk action?
Both of these flavors are so seriously delicious that I think I single handedly ate both pizzas over the course of two days.
Bacon Breakfast Pizza is topped with crispy Wright® Brand Bacon, chives, tomatoes, melty cheddar cheese and perfectly runny eggs.
You can also choose to make this version with scrambled eggs instead of cracked. Just scramble the eggs first, top the pizza with cheese, bacon and scrambled eggs, and bake.
As for the Bacon, Mushroom and Goat Cheese pizza … there’s just something about the combination of bacon, mushroom and goat cheese I cannot resist.
If you’ve never had arugula on a pizza, you HAVE to try it. Every time I see arugula pizza on a menu at a restaurant I have to order it.
To take this pizza up a notch, squeeze fresh lemon on the arugula before topping the pizza. YUM!
The beauty of bacon breakfast pizza is that they’re super easy to prepare and they’re a true crowd pleaser.
Just set out the pizzas, plates, forks and napkins and let people dig in! You may want to double up on these because they’ll go fast.
Next time you need an easy and delicious brunch recipe, give these bacon breakfast pizzas a try.
Don’t skimp on the bacon! Head to Jewel-Osco and grab some Wright® Brand Hickory Smoked Bacon. It really is the best.
I hope you love these breakfast pizzas as much as I do. Tell me in the comments below which flavor you want to try first!
