Peach Barbecue Pork Chops

These Grilled Pork Chops with Easy Peach Barbecue Sauce are a quick and easy dinner recipe that you’ll want to make over and over again.

You guys. I don’t even like barbecue and I LOVE this recipe. It’s super easy to make, takes very little time or effort, yet it tastes like you spent all day making it.

Fresh peaches are cooked into a super simple barbecue sauce mixture to make a sweet and tangy sauce that takes this grilled pork chops recipe to the next level.

Move aside, pork chops and apple sauce. Pork chops and PEACH sauce is comin’ to town.

Grilled Pork Chops with Easy Peach Barbecue SauceEver since I grilled up a pork chop we received in our meat CSA last year, I’ve had a love affair with the delicious cut of pork. There’s nothing better than dousing pork chops in some creole seasoning and giving them a nice char.

Oh wait, there is something better.

These Grilled Pork Chops with Easy Peach Barbecue Sauce!!!

If you’re fancy you can make your own homemade barbecue sauce, but I prefer the easy method. Because who wants to fuss over a stove when it’s 90 degrees outside? Not this girl.

Use your favorite jarred barbecue sauce, a little soy sauce and vinegar, and some spices and you’ll have one delicious fresh peach barbecue sauce you’ll want to put on errything.

Be cautious of the sugar and salt content in this recipe. If you’re watching your sugar intake, go easy on the barbecue sauce because it’s pretty heavy on the sugar. To cut down on it, check the labels of the jarred barbecue sauce you buy from the store. Or make your own homemade sauce!

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops (butterflied or bone in)
  • Seasoning salt (I like Tony Chachere's Original Creole Seasoning)
  • 3 firm peaches, sliced or chopped
  • 1/4 cup jarred barbecue sauce (I use the Carolina bbq sauce from Trader Joe's)
  • 1 tablespoon rice or cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Sprinkle pork chops with seasoning salt (or just salt and pepper).
  2. Grill each chop on both sides until it starts to char on the edges with some nice grill marks, about 4 minutes per side.
  3. Meanwhile (or after the chops cook), place the barbecue sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, ginger salt and pepper in a small pan. Cook on medium heat for about 6 minutes or until the peaches are soft.
  4. Serve the pork chops with peach sauce on top. Enjoy!
