If you follow me on Instagram, it’s no secret that I’m mildly obsessed with Trader Joe’s. Since I moved 1.5 miles away, I make it my weekend routine to walk there and stock up. It’s one of my favorite Saturday activities!
Every time I post a Trader Joe’s grocery haul on Instagram, I get so many people saying how much they love it. SO, I decided to capture all my favorite healthy foods to buy at Trader Joe’s in one place.
Below are the best Trader Joe’s products … in my opinion … organized by department. What are your favorite Trader Joe’s items? Tell me in the comments below!
Meat + Cheese
If I’m ever in need of a dope cheese board, Trader Joe’s is the first place I’m going. Their cheese selection is amazing and the prices are very competitive.
Goat Milk Cheddar – so great, especially if you have an intolerance to cow’s dairy.
Goat Milk Brie – Again, perfect if you’re trying to cut down on cow’s milk. I LOVE this with fig spread and crackers.
Turkey – I’ve purchased the Trader Joe’s brand and Applegate brand and I like them both!
Applewood Smoked Salami – This is always on my grocery list! I eat it rolled up with sliced provolone and yellow mustard as a snack.
Chicken Sausage – They have great flavors and come already cooked! I love these to throw into pastas, on pizzas, or just microwaved with mustard if I’m in a real bind.
Gyro Slices – Love to grill these up and serve them on a salad or in a pita with Trader Joe’s tzatziki sauce.
Frozen Foods
Some of the best Trader Joe’s products can definitely be found in the freezer section. From time savers to full meals, there are some true gems in these tiny aisles.
Orange Chicken – You’ve probably heard about this one. It’s worth the hype.
Vegetable Fried Rice – goes great with the orange chicken! I usually spice it up with some aminos, sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Hold the Cone – These are SO GOOD and the perfect tiny size for portion control.
Ice Cream Sandwiches – Okay, so these are a special treat. But they’re REALLY GOOD.
Organic Chicken Wings – I use these to make my air fryer chicken wings.
Potstickers – These are DELICIOUS and surprisingly low calorie (WW friendly). I usually microwave or air fry them. Chicken is my favorite flavor.
Argentinian Shrimp – I really like these because they’re BIG and meaty. I use them in stir fries or grilled.
Rice Cauliflower Stir Fry – Just throw this in a pan with some ground turkey and you’ve got yourself a super easy and quick stir fry for lunch or dinner.
Frozen Rice – Some things are worth paying up for, and this frozen rice and quinoa definitely is. Just microwave it and it’s ready to eat!
Cauliflower Crust Pizza – This is SO GOOD. I like to add my own toppings before baking it (pepperoni and green olives for sure).
Mashed Cauliflower- I love this as a quick side or under a beef pot roast.
Mashed Sweet Potato – I usually make mine homemade, but this is great if you’re in a pinch!
Cauliflower Gnocchi – DON’T follow the bag instructions. Here’s a good recipe with instructions on how to cook it. If you do it right, these are amazing.
Just Sauce Turkey Bolognese – If you don’t have time to make your own and freeze it, this is an amazing quick alternative. The ingredients list is very simple.
Soup Dumplings – so good for a quick dinner served in chicken bone broth with some veggies!
Thai Sweet Chili Veggie Burger – I love to saute these up for a super quick lunch while I’m working from home.
Chicken Chile Verde Burritos – These are real good with some salsa verde and plain Greek yogurt on top!
Cacio e Pepe – This is so good it sells out super fast! Go in the morning to find and definitely stock up.
Mozzarella Sticks and Coconut Shrimp – These are two amazing appetizers to make in the air fryer. I didn’t care for the big pretzels as much.
Flatbreads – these are my two favorite flavors! They’re so great for entertaining or a casual dinner. They’re pretty small so you would need two for two people.
Produce/Flowers
I’ll be honest, Trader Joe’s isn’t always the best for produce. I usually get my produce at Jewel-Osco or Whole Foods. But DEFINITELY don’t skip the flowers.
Cruciferous Crunch – it’s a beautiful crunchy blend of kale and cabbage. I like it for salads.
Eucalyptus – Love to buy these to use as a decoration around the house … they last forever.
Florals and Plants – Trader Joes has pretty bouquets starting at $3.99. SUCH A STEAL! I especially love the white roses for $9.99
Pantry
Squeezable Ginger – I use ginger A LOT, and this makes it so much more convenient.
Bone Broth – I like making my own broth, but this is next best!
Pickles – You can’t go wrong with all things pickled at Trader Joe’s, but I especially like these hot and spicy ones.
Toasted Sesame Oil – the best ingredient to add to any stir fry, salad dressing, or Asian recipe.
Pepita Salsa – I’ve been a fan of this salsa since it first entered my mouth. SO glad they started carrying it year-round.
Baking Supplies – so so many gluten free and healthy options here! I love the organic coconut sugar, nutritional yeast, almond flour, gluten-free all purpose flour, panko bread crumbs, and gluten-free pancake mixes.
Gluten Free Pasta – These are made from black beans and lentils, so are a little bit healthier than regular pasta.
Risoni – this is also made of chickpeas and red lentils, so it’s a grain-free alternative to rice or orzo.
Fig and Olive Crisps – the perfect addition to any cheese board!
Nuts – Probably one of the most impressive nut sections around, and at reasonable prices. I love pine nuts for pesto, macadamia nuts, and all the flavored ones.
Plantain Chips – these are a great alternative to chips when I want a healthy snack. I dip it in their garlic dip!
Dips + More
Buffalo Chicken Dip – Pat and I LOVE this. I buy it every time I’m at the store.
Garlic Dip – this is SO GOOD. I like it with plantain chips or carrots or spread on toast.
Chunky Guacamole – I’m not usually a fan of store bought guac, but this is the best around.
Hummus – they’re all great and very reasonably priced, but I usually keep it classic with the plain.
Fresh Bruschetta Sauce – I love this on top of chicken or pasta, or of course toasted on bread.
Vegan Cream Cheese – use it for everything you use cream cheese for!
Olive Tapenade – Such a good salty treat. Dip crackers in it or put it on toast with the vegan cream cheese and garlic dip. YUM.
Italian Bamba hot Pepper Sauce – Love stirring this into my pasta for an extra kick!
Truffle Ketchup – I cannot eat a breakfast sandwich without dipping it in this stuff. If you’re a truffle lover, this stuff is LEGIT.
Vegan Caesar Dressing – All the dressings in the refrigerator section are great, but I especially like this vegan caesar.
Bread
Sprouted Wheat Sourdough – I keep this in the freezer and pull it out as I need it so it doesn’t go bad! The flavor is amazing.
Drinks
Instant Cold brew Powder – you can stir this right into cold water … GENIUS! It recommends 1 teaspoon but I always use two.
Oat Milk Beverage – this is one of my favorite non-dairy milks!
“Two Buck Chuck” – Okay, is it even a trip to TJ’s if you don’t pick up a few of these?! It’s not the best, but it’s not the worst for $4.
Moon X – this is one of my favorite inexpensive wines. They have Cab, Pino and a Blend. All are good. I also buy the boxed wine for weeknights when I only want one glass.
Matcha Green Tea Powder – these are in individual packets, so they’re perfect to bring to work.
So there you have it! Those are the best Trader Joe’s products … in my humble opinion. What are your favorite healthy foods to buy from Trader Joe’s? Tell me in the comments below so I can give them a try.

like many people I am lactose intolerant. Goats yogurt plain is very bitter Because, it doesn't have a lot of sugar in it. So I decided to make my own concoction. I take goat's yogurt I add in the Trader Joe's frozen fruit. Best of all. I add pure monk fruit. It is Delicious and good for you. !!! Pure monk fruit with no other sweeteners in it.
